The Twins of Evil...a great Hammer Horror classic...check it out on blu-ray, if you are a Hammer fan you will love it! Thanks for the recommendation.  |

one of my favorite war pictures for all my brothers in arms...the Dirty Dozen...I mean it has one of the best lines in film..."You know what to do, free the French and shoot the Germans!"..you can't beat that, said this salty old cornhole!

I had such high hopes for John Carter, as a fan of the books and comics since I was just a little sniffer, and figuring that the budget, something like 250 million should have been enough to bring Barsoom to life...but it turned out long and bloated and the ending left me hanging for the sequel that will now probably never get made since it did so poorly at the box office. Ah well such is life...
in addition to the several war flicks I watched the last two weeks I found time to watch
the Expendables 2 - great for an old dude like me to sit and watch a bunch of old dudes trying to be young..., is it a joke? yes but it's a hilariously awesome one! Don't hate me cause I like the cheap laughs and over the top explosions...
I also sat down with my Little Karate Princess and watched Brave - A good example of Disney/Pixar collaboration, and of course my princess loves it when the disney princesses aren't so prissy as she calls them, so she really dug Merida...I did too, as I have a fondness for red-heads!
