this weekend was some serious baloney

Shittsburgh losing to Da Bears?

San Fran bitch slappin Seattle

Dallas losing to the Gints?

The Iggles were abused by the Aint's

Cincinasty beating Green Bay??

so we have some very good/playoff contender teams 0-2  Tennessee, Jax, and Tampon Bay to name a few

please don't tell me the NY Jets at 2-0 are setting the pace

if so, gonna gargle with broken glass right now

Bringing this back to the forefront for those who want to talk about the brain rattling, bone breaking, poetry in motion that is the glorious sport of football.

Way to be on top of it, Skins...left you a shout out on the word assoc thread, should have thought of this!  ::)

Who Dat beat my Saints...RGIII and the mighty Skins...in the 'Dome...who'da thunk it  :o

I am a football freak so beware the long winded posts that might follow...particularly after the cocktail hour has begun... ;)

Yeah, I saw your posting on the Assoc. thread which made me think of this thread which hadn't been posted in for almost 3 years before I resurrected it.  'Skins looked pretty good Sunday and I hope that RG3 will continue to kick ass for the rest of the season (no Heath Shulers please!!).  Hopefully the Saints will get past the whole "Bounty-gate" situation as intact as possible and I have heard that the NFL is looking at the 'Skins for the time that Greg Williams was on the team.  So if he did the same thing with them I have a sinking feeling that the 'Skins will be feeling the pain by the end of the season.

As you guys can probably tell by my avatar, I'm a Dolphins fan...yeah, yeah, I know....we've been a pretty bad team for a pretty long time (Marino, where are you??) but I'll still root for them. Redskins, you look like you got the real deal with RG3. We're playing with a rookie QB, first time head coach and not much in the way of WRs and our OL ain't so hot either. Look like it's gonna be a looooooong season for a Fins Fan :P
All I can say is ABJ.....Anybody But the Jets!!!

Well I'm a silent loud-ass member of the Who Dat nation since 1967 and that first game at Tulane Stadium...even though I am loyal enough to the game itself to 'preesh any team that brings it...with that being said I think San Fran has the D and enough O to make it to the end this year in the NFC...prediction number 1... ;)

And I have been known to cheer the odd fish faced Miami boy...and since I actually was alive to see/hear the only undefeated season, I fondly remember Mercury Morris, the Csonk, and of course Griese (heard some games on AFR as I was still in-country for the beginning of the season)...

Backatcha, Sniff. I was rooting hard for the Saints the year they won the Super Bowl. I am still crying the blues from several years ago when we could have brought in either Brees or Culpepper and we took Culpepper....arrrrrrrrrggggggg >:(

Miami ain't the only team in Florida that has issues getting/keeping good QB...Look at Tampa always training 'em up then trading 'em off to win Superbowl somewhere else...Steve Young, Doug Williams, and even Dilfer all super bowl winners wit 2 MVPs  :o

Hey Sniff...just wanted to thank you and all the Who Dat Nation for giving us Reggie Bush. Two amazing TD runs, 173 yards rushing and another 35 or so in catching yards made for one beeyootiful day.

That was never happening. We were always just cannon fodder for the negotiations. Maybe we did something right by passing on the next best (and next most expensive free agent QB) when our new coach passed on paying big bucks for Matt Flynn. Philbin was his Offensive Coordinator at GB and I guess he knew him better than most. Seattle paid the big bucks and he got beat out by a rookie :o

I know it was so, Bum...and I think with the right encouragement Tannehill will pan out. He has got the skills, just needs to get into the groove... ;)

And an offensive line that can give him more time and keep him from getting killed :o Sunday we play the hated rival Jets. Of all the teams we play, this is the one we always want to beat (yeah, sure beating the Patriots would be great but I'm not delusional ;) ) I just hope not to see any Tebowing this weekend.

Well the talking heads on ESPN are divided seem to think that Sanchez can't be so sh*tty twice in a row but since it is Florida everyone is chanting for the silly basterd. I think it is funny that he is the most known...popular in merchandise sales etc and can't really play worth a damn. I'm hoping Miami blows them away but I'll settle for 21 to 20 Miami...my pool bet  ;)

Thanks for the support. I hope you win your pool, Sniff. I've got one but I always seem to be cleaning it ;D
They should just re-name ESPN "Tebow Central"...ugh ::)

well that's the last time I play a football ticket this season (until real refs come back) cause there is just no way to accurately predict the outcome of a game...stats mean nothing...percentages mean nothing...skills and talent mean nothing... >:(

and the next time a coach uses timeout to ice a kicker, he should be fired...two blocked kicks for two different teams negated because they were trying to get the kicker worked up...C'MON MAN!   :o

so since it seems I'm the only one watching football, here's an update

the Saints finally pulled out a win...and since this is a bb forum here is a quick you tube about how that win made me feel...(WARNING it's slightly scary and a little racy)

another update on this, the weirdest season of football in many a year...

...Miami Dolphins pull out another win last week and are over .500, as are Indy's Colts, go figure...while my beloved Saints are in the cellar at 2-5... :o

I'm a diehard Redskins fan (and believe me the first 3 weeks made it difficult not to throw something at the TV).  The 'Skins get a bye this week so hopefully when they play at Dallas Week 6 RG3 will lead my boys to victory.

HTTR!!

Yep, Sniff, your Saints were firing on all cylinders and definitely wiped the floor with my Fins. SF seems to be faltering from their amazing start. There might be another Super Bowl in the Saints future.

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALLLLLLLLLLL........

i am...though i feel like things are a little squirelly...i mean dolphins beat patriots, buffalo surges on, detroit blasts giants...the season has prospects
